Initial experimentation in gifs for a series of work on the poem ‘Els Amants’ (The Lovers) by Valencian poet Vicent Andrés i Estellés (1924-1993).

The series will explore how language can act as a metadata for our understanding of image and personal identity. Els Amants is written in Valencià, the regional language of Valencia, Spain and a close relation to Catalan.
